Channeled guidance:
The suit of Cups is aligned with water and emotions. The tenth card in a suit often depicts fullness or completion. So it follows that in a traditional deck, the Ten of Cups usually portrays a scene of homecoming. In this deck, we see a very different version of wholeness and its emotional impact. This card presents the naked self, a human at peace, at one with themselves, their heart center so full it is bursting with light. Here we experience homecoming as coming home to one’s own self. In the belly region, there is the crest of an orb (the planet Earth, possibly). The energy is peaceful. The hands suggest a feeling of gratitude—gratitude for this sense of wholeness, for the feeling and the emotions that come with knowing that each being belongs. The feeling is deep satisfaction, a joy that is hard to explain. This human has a gentle smile, easy breathing, and a feeling of groundedness.
The ten little cups in this card are separated into one large grouping of nine and one solo cup by itself. The nine cups at the bottom are like a halo around the earth, perhaps suggesting that our emotions are also part of the atmosphere, possibly part of what makes this planet so incredibly special. And the one solo cup rests on the shoulder of this human. Similar to what is hinted at in the Eight of Cups, this cup is a witness. It is a gentle reminder of acknowledging one’s feelings. Instead of your heart on a sleeve, here you have your emotions on your shoulder. It’s a pleasant little cup, feeling happy, secure, full, and very well-balanced. Just below and to the side of it is an exclamation point to accentuate the fullness of the moment. Homecoming! Wow, what a beautiful homecoming!
