Guiding words/ideas:
Exploring experiences of apathy, lethargy and agency; allowing oneself to not know what to do next; not rushing to action; allowing oneself to feel the discomfort of non-doing; resting with stirred emotions until they settle.
Channeled guidance:
The energy in this card is low. One can feel the power of gravity by just looking at these cups and the liquids spilling from them. All the energy is moving down, down, down.
The Four of Cups asks us to look at our experiences of apathy, lethargy, and agency. There is a mess here, and these human hands are not moving towards cleaning it up, of righting the spilled cup, or of collecting the liquid as it streams down the table. This is a moment of inaction.
Sometimes feelings become overwhelming and confusing; but there is space to just be with what is without rushing in to clean things up. It’s an uncomfortable space to be in. Thoughts of unworthiness and guilt can arise. You may fear of the opinions of others. But the suit of Cups is about being with one’s emotions. And this card encourages you to just be in this uneasy state of non-doing, in particular when there are things that need to be done, when there are wrongs that need to be righted, when there is conflict that needs resolution. It takes strength to just be with what is.
In time you will regain your power and clarity, and you will know what needs to be done to right the situation. Until then, explore with resting inside of this experience and with the emotions that are stirred up. Feel these emotions and let them settle. Feel them obey the laws of gravity as they settle down, down, down; until they can quietly move of their own accord; until the fog lifts and you can see clearly once again.

Acorn cap (light brown background): Like a gentle pat on the head, we offer up slow-moving energy to open the senses and awaken the mind.

Lac (purple bowl, purple sides of image, and purple liquid streaming off bottom of card): We gently nudge you towards transformation and change.
Weld (mustard-yellow bowl): Our energy is dense, warm and saturated, bringing with it a feeling of solidity and calm.
Copper oxide (light blue liquid in bowls and on ground/table): I magnify the properties of whatever plants I touch or impact.
