Guiding words/ideas:
Deep pain; a need to release pain from the body through tears; feeling difficult emotions are an important part of being human; allow space for your feelings to come up and out; having empathy for oneself in times of grief and sadness; there is room for your tears; you are deeply loved and held in this experience.
Channeled guidance:
There is a pain that comes from a place so deep, words cannot describe it; pain so deep that the body struggles in its attempt to let the pain out through tears, sobs, or moans. And yet the body does need to release this pain, and so the crying, sobbing, and moaning are required. In these moments, a human can feel very lost and alone. Grief, despair, and brokenheartedness are very difficult things to feel. But feel them you must, for you are human, and this is an important part of human experience. Do what you can to allow space for these feelings to come up and out—out into the world, out of your broken heart. And let the tears flow.
The Five of Cups is sometimes hard to look at. It is difficult to see this human in so much pain. It stirs empathy, and if you can envision yourself in this position of great sadness, perhaps you can feel empathy for yourself. For the pain is not endless. Three of the five cups are being filled up with tears, but the two in the forefront are empty. There is room for more, space for later. And there is hope and these empty cups. They are haloed with a rim of gold. They are glowing with a gold background as if to say, “There will always be room for your tears. There will always be room for your sadness. There will always be a cup to pour your feelings into.” For the world provides, and you’re deeply loved and held in this type of extreme pain.
