Guiding words/ideas:
Releasing; letting go; ascending to ones full potential; willingness to see what is impeding authenticity; accountability; release from judgement; relief; liberation is possible.
Channeled guidance:
The direction of movement in this card is upwards—out of the fog and into clarity. The judgment card is about releasing; letting go of any burdens so that one can ascend to their full potential.
To rise up in this way requires a willingness to see and understand what that fog is about. What are the things that cloud one’s capabilities and most beautiful self? Before there can be a release, a certain amount of hard work needs to be done.
The name of the card, “Judgment,” can be interpreted in many ways. It can be looked at in a more traditional sense, as in “Judgment Day,” where accountability is present and all is laid bare. It can also be taken very literally in its encouragement to release oneself and others from judgment. Either way, there is relief.
This card illuminates the moment of liberation, of letting go. The instant that a creature takes flight is magic and is shown here as an inspiration. It reminds us that it is possible to be free.
Plant and metal guidance:
Ferns (imprints of fern leaves representing feathers): We are ancient beings, from a long lineage of strength and patience. We hope to transfer these qualities to the humans who need them.
Black walnut (dark brown color of wings and body of bird): The strength of our magic lies in our ability to clear space and provide opportunities for recharging and resetting.
Acorn cap (grey background/ “fog”): Like a gentle pat on the head, we offer up slow-moving energy to open the senses and awaken the mind.
Iron oxide/rust (grey/brown ridges at bottom of card): I connect you to the core of the planet from whence I come. My energy is strong and solid.
