GRIEF & LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

There are so many forms of oppression to acknowledge in order for us to get on with the work of creating a beloved community where all beings belong. Let us acknowledge the inhumanity of slavery and the violence that colonialism and white supremacy culture continue to act upon us today.

As the LANDBACK manifesto states, so much has been stolen from enslaved and indigenous human beings: labor, land, language, ceremony, food, education, housing, healthcare, governance, medicines and kinship.

Let us acknowledge we are creating and working on the homelands of the Wabanaki Confederacy territory and the Stockbridge-Munsee Mohicans.

Let us acknowledge that the plant beings involved in Magical Nature Tarot are from the unceded territory of the following tribes and peoples: Abenaki, Nipmuc, Pocumtuck, Nonotuck, Pequowket and Taino.

This acknowledgement is only a first step towards healing, repairing and building our beloved community. May we all commit to do the ongoing work of repair.

Our partner, Wild Soul River, pays reparations to the Stockbridge-Munsee Mohicans and Black and Brown farmers in the region.
